Give every sales enquiry an owner and a next action
A practical follow-up routine from the first request to delivery and payment.
Capture the request in the customer’s terms
Record what the customer needs, the quantity or scope, timing and a reliable contact method. Avoid collecting information that has no business purpose. Check whether an existing customer record already exists before creating another one.
Agree on the next step
A useful follow-up has an owner, a date and an action: send a revised quote, confirm a specification or check a delivery window. “Call later” is not a plan. If the customer is not ready, agree on a reasonable time instead of repeatedly sending the same message.
Keep the commercial stages separate
A quotation is not an order, an invoice is not proof of payment, and dispatch is not necessarily confirmed delivery. Keep references between these records. When an order changes, review stock and the promised delivery date as well as the price.
Review overdue actions and balances
Use a short daily review for overdue follow-ups, orders waiting for stock and balances approaching the agreed due date. Discuss payment politely using the invoice reference and agreed terms. Restrict access to financial information to the people who need it.
Use the result to improve the process
Record why an opportunity was lost or an order cancelled using a small set of useful reasons. Dastyar provides customer records, follow-ups, sales orders, delivery and financial records. A consistent record makes a review possible; it does not replace consent for marketing or guarantee a sale.
